In detail
Tea brewed in the pot it is poured from keeps brewing, which is why the second cup is always worse than the first. A removable stainless infuser lets the leaf come out at the right moment.
One litre — four cups. Vitrified stoneware, so it holds heat far better than glass and does not stain from a strong black tea. A wide infuser basket rather than a narrow one, because leaves need room to open. Straight spout ground to a clean lip. Dishwasher safe, though the infuser is worth rinsing by hand straight after so the mesh stays open.
The one limitation worth stating: no ceramic body survives a jump from freezer to hot oven, and this one is no exception. Everything here is oven-safe from cold and freezer-safe on its own; it is the transition between the two that cracks a glaze, and no vitrification prevents it.
Why this one. Water absorption under half a percent is the whole argument. It is a single laboratory number, it is rarely published, and it separates a service that still looks like this in ten years from one that crazes, stains and holds a smell inside twelve months — at the same price, in the same shapes, on the same shelf.
