Baking is the one part of cooking that is arithmetic, and the set reflects that: the five-kilogram gram-resolution scale, the nine-piece stamped measuring set, the six nesting prep bowls and a 28-centimetre oven-safe stoneware serving bowl that doubles as a baking dish.

Nothing here is exotic and all of it is the accurate version of something most kitchens own an inaccurate version of. Stamped rather than printed measures, a scale with a three-minute auto-off rather than sixty seconds, and a dish that goes from oven to table. About $148 separately. Let stoneware cool before it meets water.

Buying a set is a bet that you want all of it. If two of these pieces are things you already own in a form you like, buy the rest individually — the discount here is real but it is not large enough to justify replacing something that works. Every piece in every set is also sold on its own page.
