In detail
Most whisks are a bundle of wires crimped into an open tube. Egg white and batter get inside that tube, never come out, and after a year the whisk smells. This one is welded and sealed at the collar, so there is no cavity at all.
Twelve wires at thirty centimetres, which is the balance point for a domestic bowl — enough wires to bring egg white up quickly, few enough that it does not clog with a thick batter. 18/10 stainless throughout with a flattened handle that does not roll off a worktop. Dishwasher safe, though it will outlast the dishwasher.
What it is not: a substitute for the piece next to it in this course. We list what each thing does and where it stops, because a catalogue that only records strengths is one you cannot use to choose between two things.
