In detail
A flask is judged on two numbers and one detail. Twelve hours hot and twenty-four cold is genuine domestic performance from an 18/8 double wall with a proper vacuum. The detail is the lid: if it does not disassemble, it grows something, and most do not.
One litre, wide-mouthed so it takes ice and can be cleaned by hand. Copper-lined vacuum layer, which is what pushes the cold figure past a day. Hand wash the body, take the lid apart and wash all three parts. Not dishwasher safe — the heat degrades the vacuum seal over time.
What it is not: airtight in the laboratory sense. A domestic gasket keeps coffee fresh for weeks and biscuits crisp for days; it is not a vacuum, and anything that has to be genuinely sealed for months wants a jar and a fridge rather than a worktop container.
Why this one. Storage is judged on the parts nobody photographs: whether the gasket comes out, whether the filter is a standard size, whether the lid vents, whether the footprint uses a shelf or wastes it. Those four things decide whether a container is still in use in three years or in the back of a cupboard.
