TBL Holdings
Questions and answers
If what you need is not here, email support@tblholdings.store. We answer Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00 Mountain Time.
Ordering
Do I need an account?
No. Checkout works as a guest. An account only stores your addresses and order history, and you can make one afterwards if you want it.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Yes, until it is dispatched. Email support@tblholdings.store with the order number as soon as you can — we dispatch same day before 13:00 Mountain Time.
Do you gift wrap?
No, and we would rather say so than do it badly. Everything arrives in plain recyclable packaging with no pricing on the outer carton, so a parcel can be given as it is.
Do you sell to restaurants?
You are welcome to buy, but nothing here is certified for a commercial kitchen inspection regime. It is domestic housewares, and a commercial kitchen has requirements we do not claim to meet.
Delivery
When will it ship?
Same business day before 13:00 Mountain Time, otherwise the next business day. Tracking arrives when the parcel physically leaves us.
What does delivery cost?
$7.95 standard, complimentary over $95. Expedited $21.95. Full services and multi-piece cast iron ship on a $29.00 heavy service and are excluded from the free threshold.
How is fragile ware packed?
Double-boxed with at least 50 mm of void fill on every face, and services in cell dividers rather than loose. If something does break, photograph the outer carton before unpacking further — that is what settles a carrier claim.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at present. All 50 states, PO boxes where the item fits, and APO/FPO addresses.
Returns
What is the window?
Thirty days from delivery, unused and in the original packaging. Full detail on the Returns and refunds page.
Who pays return carriage?
We do if the piece is faulty, damaged, wrong or not as described. You do if you changed your mind. No restocking fee either way.
What cannot come back?
Used or sharpened knives, cast iron that has been cooked on, boards that have been oiled or cut on, and opened consumables. If any of those arrive faulty you are still fully covered.
My pan has gone a straw colour inside. Is it faulty?
No. That is oxide from heat on unpolished stainless and it is normal. It comes off with a stainless cleaner if you want it to. The Care and materials page lists what is wear and what is a fault.
Materials
What does “five-ply, 2.6 mm core” actually mean?
Five bonded layers with 2.6 mm of aluminium in the middle. The core thickness is what decides whether a pan holds temperature when cold food goes in and how fast it recovers. It is the number almost nobody publishes and the one that matters most.
Which knife hardness should I choose?
60–61 HRC takes a finer edge and holds it longer, and chips more easily on a bone. 56–58 forgives more and needs the steel more often. Neither is better; pick for how you cook.
Why does water absorption matter on a plate?
Under half a percent means the body is closed: no crazing, no staining from tomato or turmeric, no held smell. Above about three percent it does all three within a year, in the same shapes at the same price.
Is any of it non-stick?
No. Nothing here is coated. Coatings have a three-year life and cannot be repaired, so for eggs and delicate fish we would point you at cast iron with a mature seasoning rather than sell you a surface that wears out.
Is it induction compatible?
Every clad and cast-iron piece here is, and the page says so. Borosilicate and stoneware are not, for the obvious reason.
Can I put the knives in the dishwasher?
You can, and it will dull the edge in one cycle and loosen a riveted handle over a year. Hand wash and dry them; it takes ten seconds.
Payment
What payment methods do you take?
Major credit and debit cards at checkout. We never receive or store your full card number.
Is sales tax added?
Where it applies, calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
What appears on my statement?
TBL HOLDINGS. If you see a charge you do not recognise, email support@tblholdings.store before disputing it and we will find the order.
